The Society for Caribbean Linguistics (SCL) will meet at the Amaryllis Beach Resort in Barbados from Monday 9 to Friday 13 August 2010 . The Conference is hosted by The University of the West Indies (UWI), Cave Hill . The Conference follows the second biennial session of the Caribbean Language and Linguistics Institute (CLLI) to be hosted at The University of the West Indies, St Augustine, Trinidad & Tobago.
The Conference is dedicated to the memory of Richard Allsopp . In keeping with his contribution to language and culture, the theme of the Conference is "Caribbean Languages and Popular Culture".
