Held jointly with the Society for Pidgin and Creole Linguistics. The conference was preceded by the Pre-Conference APiCS Workshop . The 2008 conference followed the inaugural session of the Caribbean Language and Linguistics Institute hosted from 30 June to 25 July 2008 at the Mona campus of The University of the West Indies in Jamaica.
